hard start

i have a 04 duramax the other day it ran out of fuel ideling in the corn field i put fuel in it primed it and got it running now it seems every time you start it you have to crank for a while then it will start anyone have any ideas

My guess would be that you sucked up the **** that sits at the bottom of the tank. Try changing the fuel filter and go run it to make sure you've got all the air out of the system and see what it does.

I actually did the same and it worked, well so far at least
