Help no start"

Friend has a 05 CR that will not start. Ran the day before no problem. Is there a way to pull codes without a scanner.

yes if you cycle the key 3 times you will get code numbers on the cluster. it will flash as many codes as it has then it will say done.
key off then to on position then off then on position then off then back to on again (code will be in lower left of the cluster)

yes there is just cycle the key 3 times. key on then key off key on then key off key on the code number will show on the lower left coner of the cluster
