high oil pressure!!

i have a deere 830 3 cylinder and it has been burning oil i am pretty sure that it is because the oil pressure is to high...help on how to lower the oil pressure??

Take the oil filter housing off and check the pressure regulator assembly. Make sure that the ball (or bullet shaped thingy [don't know how else to describe it]) isn't malformed and scarred in a manner that would make it stick in it's seat. Other than that I would be worried about a bearing that is trying to seize :bang

Burning oil usually has nothing to do with high oil pressure though, unless it is leaking profusely... How many hours are on the tractor and what exactly is your oil pressure. Also, to clarify, is that the 830 with a Yanmar diesel in it or...?
 
im going to look at that next time i have the filter off

and im pretty sure its John Deere not a Yanmar..
