posted a similer question in the dodge section as well. i was wondering how many ohms it takes to fire the duramax injector. woulda cummins ecm have the ability to fire one? the selenoids look similer on the top? thanks for any info

thanks. im trying to see the difference betwenn the 5.9 6.7 and duramax injector. the main thing im wondering is if a cummins ecm can run a duramax injector...

not sure what you mean ? ohms is resistance, maybe your looking for voltage and required amperage ?

yes thats pretty much what i am after. just looking to see if injectors could be fired using a cummins ecm or if the voltage output is too low to do so

Are you talking about ohm's or volts to fire the solenoid? if your talking about volts the solenoids in the LB7 injectors are 92+/-volt(s) and the LLY/LBZ/LMM are 45+/- volt(s). Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure I'm close.

i think lbz/lmm are around 12 volts and rest seem right for what I re call

I've fired an LBZ injector at 12v in a pop off tester.
