Have set of H2 original chrome wheels, but the wheels are corroded and the chrome is partly off.

What method is best to remove the remaining chrome?

Is chemicals available or is the sandblasting only way to remove chrome?

I wouldn't sandblast the chrome off of Al. The chrome is much harder than Al and you'll tear up that rim well before the chrome is all off.

Are you planning on powdercoating when done or polishing the aluminum? If you are going to coat them, I would sandblast them. I've blasted and coated a lot of aluminum wheels, compressor housings, and various aluminum pieces. Never had an issue. You just have to be careful to not blast on one spot too long. Chrome really isn't that hard to blast off. The nickel under it is what's hard.
