looking at buying a 98 24v. The question I have is with the truck running the only gauge that is working is the tach. no oil pressure, temp, fuel, volts. It also has a security light on the cluster and the odometer is flashing. no codes in ecm. bulb check shows good. has anyone seen this problem? any help would be appriciated.

Sounds like the PCM has been replaced and has not been reflashed.
 
That has to be done by a dealer right? how much do think? is that all that you can think of? thanks man for the help.
 
Yes, a dealer has to do it and they will normally charge for one hour of time. Sometimes they require the old PCM, not always.
