intermitten quit/die while cruising

today my wifes 95 7.3 decided it would be cool to just die while driving down the road. If you shut the truck off it will fire right up but with a rough idle. The truck is bone stock 143k on the clock. It has brand new batteries a week ago, since it started acting up i changed the oil/filter and fuel filter and cleaned up any grounds i could fine. I dont have any way of getting the codes out it does have a cel on but my scan tool is fuggered any help would be appreciated. Thanks andy

sounds like an icp/ipr issue to me, but they are expesive parts to just throw at it hoping to fix it.
best bet is to fix your scanner or find another and see what codes its pulling.

my buddies did the same and it ended up being his ipr
