G1000's are neat, but I'd rather have a GVI (G6)
An 800 cid irrigation motor fits right in them, and you can do enough weight reduction with a bit of creativity to get into the 5500lb class..

As far as making good puller.. I can remember back to a G1000 Vista on Propane that pulled the heavy stock classes around where I grew up... Don't remember it ever getting beat!!!
They are very heavy tractors, though, and that means you are limited to what classes you can pull (and you have to be able to get all that weight to the pull!!)
