Need a little help with 2000 7.3

Ok here's the scoop just bought this really nice F350. It has 256k and the problem is it likes to up and die. and the guage on the dash reads no oil pressure. I changed out the low oil pressure pump and it started up great drove it not quite 100 miles and the damn thing died. I pulled the oil sender from the oil res and I can get oil there but it wont start and I am not getting any codes

How are you checking codes? A generic code reader won't do a lot of good. It could be a dying fuel pump or other issues. Give more data on the situation and you can get more help.

Do you read oil pressure on the dash oil pressure guage and is there a rpm reading on the tach while cranking?
