I’m a new member and looking for some info. I’ve got a 97 Dodge Cummins, 12 valve, that I sled pull on weekends. Im wanting to use a side draft intake on my truck. Has anyone done this? Do you have any pictures of it on the engine?

Thanks. We run 2.6 smooth bore I want to run this style side draft so I don’t have to buy another set of lines.

Just want to clarify, you have a 12 valve motor, and the side draft you posted a picture of shows it to be used on a 24 valve motor.

Is the reason for the intake to do extensive port work?

If not and just the intake its not gonna make much if any difference.

I seen very little difference in the 20 plus engines I built at that power range doing a full intake . But 2k investment intake and port work just to have it little gain is a option

The head has had port work done But not on the intake. The rule change last year thought there may be a gain to remove the factory shelf and port the intake.

Intake runner porting and intake will help but will be minimal. Zz and D+j machine both have options that fit a 12v
