It'll be a combined 2.6/3.0 class like we all wanted. Seperate purses but run back to back with sled setting changes in between. More details and rules to follow. Contact me with any questions.

Nice to see MN and north central WI will have organized pulling.

We've had and will continue to have a 2.6 class through HTP in addition to NTPA. The addition of NTPA will help grow the sport and take the number of organized local hooks from about 12 to almost 20 per season. It will give the class exposure to additional fans, tracks, sponsors, and purses.

What rules are they using?

Now that the class is approved we have some work to do to finalize the rules. Future meetings will be scheduled to discuss, with the plan to get the rule book finalized by the end of the year.

Draft rules should be available soon and final rules meeting will be Jan. 31st.

January 31st is our UPM membership meeting. I would like to invite anyone who is planning on competing in our new 2.6 pro stock diesel class or our current 3.0 pro stock class to attend. If you would like to vote on anything you will need to have your 2015 UPM membership. Otherwise you are more than welcomed to attend. The 2015 2.6 rules will also be released at the meeting and the 2015 UPM and NTPA R5 & R3 Tentative schedules will be released

I might of asked this before but what will the membership few be about? And how about one time hook fees

I might of asked this before but what will the membership few be about? And how about one time hook fees

The NTPA fees are similar to PPL (~$600). This is for the driver and the truck. This includes two pit crew memberships and insurance for everyone once on the grounds. Once this is paid the per hook fees for state events are $10-$15 and $25 for regional. Payouts start around $500 for first and go down to 8-10 places for state. I think they start around $600-$675 for regional hooks. This doesn't inlcude point $$ for regional hooks. The last two years I made up all my fees after two hooks between winnings and points, that was hooking a 2.6 truck in the 3.0 class.

If you want to be a UPM member and go for points its $100 and I think they pay $1-$2 per point so a couple of hooks and you have for fees back.

Per hook fees are also similar to PPL ($90-$110). If you plan on making more than one hook becoming a member is a no-brainer.
