I was wondering if your sending in a pump to get modified how much does it matter which one your start with like a 95 160 hp auto vs a 96-98 180hp or 215hp? I may be able to get and part out a truck for a reasonable price, but its a 95 auto and I want the better pump.
 
How much do you want out of the truck in the end?

You can move a lot of fuel through a 160...

How much pump work are you talking about? A 913 has a better cam but notch top PB.
 
I am looking for 700 whp eventually with out having too much pump work.. I would like to be able to turn it down for towing etc. I was going to start with an hx35 or hybrid 35/40 or S300 over an s400

Maybe one day build for 1000.. but that is years and years down the road.. like 10.
 
mod for mod a better cam pump will have more hp, better idle and most likely better street manners at the same hp level? or am I mistaken?
