Parallel or Tapered Lift Block?

If only change to the rear suspension is going from a factory 4.75" lift block to either a 5.5" or 6" lift block to stay level with 3" front lift. Should the blocks be the parallel style or 5* tapered? Thanks
 
realy id go with springs myself. Yes they are more money but I think you will happier in the long run. the taller a block in the more torque that can be can be applied to the spring. yes a tall set of springs can get that way too. Traction bars may be in your future
 
Is there any taper in the factory block ?
If not, adding 5* seems like a bit much.
I only use a 6* wedge with 7" of ride height change from stock and it's dead on with a degree finder.
 
I've got an 8" block and 1" zero rate ADAL in the rear of my truck with no angle correction IIRC. The carrier bearing is shimmed down.
 
2 piece drive shaft with carrier bearing=no taper, but lower the carrier bearing

1 Piece drive shaft=tapered block
