Piston does not look right

The EH process does not change the spray angle to compensate for timing and fuel quantity.

true, but he can fix his current problem by dropping his psi too(taking mp8 off). high rail psi alters dynamic spray patterns.

Seen plenty of slugs like that during teardown for unrelated issues - excessive cylinder temps makes the crown start to "sweat" and the lands pinch the top ring into the wall, leaving vertical witness marks in the bore.

Overheated? - shucks, we do worse than that on the bench to refine grain structure! :evil

Id have the injectors flow checked if you're tearing it down. One or two of my pistons looked similar, while the pistons in the next cylinder were completely melted.

Ordered a new piston and rings from Jeff aka Snedge.

Going to send the injectors to http://www.exergyengineering.com/about.html

Got one set of brand new nozzles plus a very low mile set of nozzles as well, might have them put something together.Need to talk to them on Monday.

that engine all most got swoled :bang

Yup! Just a little bit long and it would be like this.

My last melt down was bad in #5 but this was #4 that was about to go.
