I have in my possession a hx40 16cm gated turbo, i want to know if it really is a super40 simply by going by the fact that its a 6 blade compressor?...i believe it to be a 60mm inducer ( need to measure it again)
I've read other threads that say 7 blade are super40's and others have said that both 6 & 7 blade 40's are super 40's.....what is true??.

I was told to look for a 10 blade turbine as well, to insure it was in fact a super40 and i will check this later tonite!? I would be pleased if i really do have a super 40 since i only payed 40 bucks for this little darling!
 
Ok..i checked the count on the turbine blades..its 12 bladed turbine so im assuming its a regular hx40 but i still wonder about the compressor side..could i still have a high flow six blade side????!
 
Super 40s have the 7 blade compressor (same as he351/vgt)

You got a regular 40.

Super 40s have the updated turbine and oiling mods as well.
