Ratchet Shifter

I am wanting to go to a ratchet shifter setup but am wanting to make it look as if its a manual. at first I was going to use a tci outlaw with 2 switches on the handle so that I can control lockup and and OD. I am having a hard time figuring out how I would extend the handle with the shifter lock up high enough to make it work though. Anybody have any ideas?
