Rpm help

Alright well just installed my ddp 250's last week and went pullin a few days after. On the road with my smarty on 5 and the TST comp on 5 my rpm's hit around 3800 and ran like hell. But when I hooked up to the sled it wouldn't go past 3000. any suggestions....
 
I don't have the RPM issue on my truck, but when hooked to the sled the VP just won't give me enough fuel to stay over fueled. On the street I can't clear up the smoke even on a WOT 5th gear run.

But hooked to the sled I am lucky to get a haze out of the stack. And I run down the track at 3400-3700 rpm.
 
well it smoke's like crazy on the street and pullin so I think I'm gettin enough fuel, the motor just didn't seem to hit the same RPM's
 
Hmmm well I see you already have a smarty, which for most guys that lets them turn at least 3200-3500 going down the track. About the only thing you can try is a redline, and or a smaller gear. But that is going to reduce your wheel speed.
