Just curious why you don't see many compound turbo setups using 2 s400. With the 400 frame turbo being stronger than a similar size 300 frame turbo wouldn't it be more reliable and be able to flow more with the larger turbine? Would you notice any gains taking a common 66/74/14 over a 80/96/1.32 and replace the 366 with a 466/83/1.0. I'm thinking about trying a 468 over a 84-88mm s400. Looking for some feedback on this idea. Thanks

I had a 64/71/12 over a s480/96/1.32 and it went 11.1 @124mph. I changed the 64 out to a s465/83/.90 and it only went 11.2 @125mph. The s465 also spooled slower.

Imho there really is not enough turbine to support anything larger than that 80-82mm wheel, in the S400 chassis.

dvst8r you were the one that tried to tell me changing that 64 out for the s465 wouldnt make a difference. I should've listened haha

I have in mind running a 465 with an ht4b. Mainly because the small s400's are inexpensive and the way I drive it would take the beating better. I haven't done it yet though so I can give a lot of valuable input.

Doesn't the larger s400 wheels ~83 and larger work well with the cat compressor covers? Don't remember the a/r.

Education is expensive, sometimes you just have to see it yourself to believe it.

I'm running a 66/80 setup right now, I've changed turbo setups to many times here recently, and am tired of wasting money. Looks like a 500 frame will be my next one so I will have room to grow.
