Self revving past 3k rpm

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone has had their truck just start revving up by itself after a certain rpm? The truck is a 96 12 valve with a 13mm auto pump with unlimited rpm. It is fine till I hit between 3000 to 3500 then it will just start taking off, but it will drop off if I take my foot off the throttle. I have put extra return spring on the throttle linkage. Anyone have any idea what it might be?
 
Change to diff set gov springs I have saw this ... Haisley 5k springs work really well .. Unlimited rpm auto gov is not a great setup ... Invest in good spring set.. Not mention if break a driveline part chance you will be picking up rods off the track...

I had great luck with my haisley 5k springs. *unloaded* the truck would go up to 5500 on the line until the clutch was let out
