A big thanks to Mamau Diesel for the gaskets I needed.
Finally got to tear into my 12v, everything checked out great. No play in the rods or mains. Wish I had a plastigauge to see exactly where they are but I think ill be ok.
Sent my wife to get me some engine paint. Told her I wanted something other than black for the block. The head will be black.
Well that was my first mistake.
Got most of the bottom end and front cover sealed up anyway I hope.
Here is a good pic of before and after.
