speed sensor code on a zf 6

I have an 01 duramax with a six speed manual and recently put in a new clutch. After the install my speedo wont work and im thowing a speed sensor code. where is this sensor at? may have pulled a wire in two also but cant find anything that looks like its out of place. Any input and or comments pertaining to my problem are greatly appreciated.

2 or 4 wheel drive? If it's a 4X4 it will be in the tailhousing of the transfer case, if it is a 2 wheel drive it is in the tailhousing of the trans.

Most parts stores should carry it, but they don't fail that often unless they get metal on them. Follow the harness up from the speed sensor and make sure it hasn't come unplugged furthur up. The speed sensor wiring for a 4X4 has about an 18" extension plugged onto it to extend it back to the rear of the transfer case. It should go up to a double ended plug that has a plug going into each end of it.
