stabing motor and trans

any tips to get the motor and trans lined up when swaping motors the truck is a 93 d250 auto the trans is still in place i dont want to drop it but i can if i got to
 
Put the bolts in where there suppose to go? I don't think u can put it in upside down or anything lol...
 
Only thing I can think of is don't let it smack the converter hard, or you won't go very far after you get it running.
Tends to take out the oil pump in the transmission. DAMHIK.:doh:

Be slow and gentle, keep the cabbage grabbers and the piggies out of the way, too. LOL

I always found it easier to just slide the trans back, install engine and then bolt trans back up. In the end its less fighting with it and easier.
 
Leave the nuts loose on the mounts, give you a bit of wiggle room to get it set in.
 
I have it in now just gotta figure out how to install the mounts with the trans bolted up and then its twin time
