I have a 92 4x4 Ext cab W250 with an automatic, I hate the auto and want a manual, I would like to have at least a six speed, maybe a 5 with a splitter, or a eaton fuller roadranger 13, I need something!
Any suggestions? What do I need?

I did a swap on a 83 crew cab i put a cummins in. By far the easiest and sometimes cheapest way to do it is to find a complete 1st gen with a standard and a diesel. U can find an absolute rot box and pick it up for short $$ and turn the engine. You sometimes can actually profit by doing it this way. I did it junk yard hunting, and it was very agrevating and ended up costing me a few grand anyways, because I used a nv4500 and had to convert the np205 from the auto from 23spline to 29 spline.
