Temperature sensor location?

The grocery getter temperature reading has quit working. Does anyone know which one feeds the instrument cluster and the exact location? Had reman cluster put in back in spring and sure hope it is not going out already. Truck is 2002 Excursion, 7.3L PS.

It's by the thermostate housing next to the big water nipple that has a hose from the heater core on it... On the water pump housing
