Transmission Dyno

Well, yes, but i'm leaning more toward the sacrificial destructive testing periodically.
If you have a "stage" that corresponds to a usage, then test its limits. Like a safety factor i suppose.
If it can hold 750hp, at what duty cycle?

They get built, put in trucks that make said power and get abused. If the shop is an honest one then im more then certain they have tried the combos in personal trucks and had good success with them. These transmissions are NOT that hard to build and if you do a LOT of them then testing everyone is not really time/cost effective IMO, unless you are charging a PREMIUM for them. Then you may catch a few issues like bad electronics before they leave the shop.

It all comes down to how much you trust the shop and how they take care of any problems you run into. Anything can and will break at some point.

Well, since this has been shoveled back from the grave,
How long does one have to sustain rated power? If it is rated for 750hp, what constitutes abuse?
