Does anybody know hoe much a stock tranny on a 2000 7.3 can hold? Im going to get a TS performance chip, intake, and straight pipe from the turbo back. I will mostly be running the chip a lower setting, but occasionally on the higher setting. Would this be pushing too much power for the transmission?

I have been running (Pulling and towing) from 500 to 800HP on just a converter and valvebody and have 100k on the stocker...I think FTVB is about 250.00

Torque converter is needed before a vb. If tranny is in still good working order. Converter and a Vb will buy some time if treated right. As well as a bigger tranny cooler. Heat is the number one killer of a tranny.
