i was driving last night and out of no were my transmission temp gauge was crazy hot and the tow haul light was flashing ,i drove home and i shut the truck off for like 2 or 3 min and when i started back up it was at normal temp.
today in the morning i drove the truck around and it was all good untill i floored it for the first time and then the gauge went hot again and the tow haul started flashing again . need help please .

03 f250 sct with looney tune ,fuel intensifier , accufab elbow. :st:

my buddy is having the same problem - but his tranny is delayed shifting from park to drive or reverse etc. He was getting on the highway and hit his rev limiter without the tranny shifting. This all happened in the same day - trans temp gauge reading very hot with flashing haul light, check engine light, tranny acting up - any advice...is his smoked or is this an electrical thing - said he had washed his engine bay down earlier in the day

Also - tranny dip stick only luke warm after driving 50 miles even though tranny gauge is maxed...obviously bad sensor but what else is going on here

Told him to load the street looney and see if the same problems happened...shifting issue went away, but trans temp gauge still maxed out. Weird thing is he has had the same looney tune in the truck for about a year and never had an issue running the tune, went from street to looney and all the sudden it started acting up with no reflashes done...seems like most of these issues happen when loading a "new" looney...not when loading the same looney...

Are you using the Looney Wild? Is your truck an 06. Myself and at least one other person I know of are having Looney Wild issues on our 06's. Transmission falling out of gear and hitting the rev limiter.

I have an 06 and am running the Looney Wild with no problems...it's my buddies truck and he has an 04 running the normal looney from around last summer. Thats whats weird, he ran the file for a year with no problems...had the truck in to the dealership and has a bad sensor...but I do not know if that would cause all the shifting and engagement issues too??
