So I've had a couple turbos laying around and I'm curious as to what they are and if they are useable.

Here are some pics. This first one iv been told is from a Detroit 60 series.

Well yeah I know the wheel is chipped. Are they even worth using in any way?

First one is off a Detroit. That's their insignia on the compressor housing outlet

Is it any good to use? If not what could it be sold for? What about the bottom one?

Don't know. The garret tag missing? We have one off a 12.7 on a 531 deere engine and its spinnin 3400 and still can't drive it hard enough

The garrett looks like a VNT with the way that actuator is sitting.

The second one is off of an 855, looks to be a Schwitzer 4LHR series.

Yeah the garret is VNT and how useable is the schwitzer?

The top one is a Garrett GTA4502V....not really useful for a performance pickup truck.

The engine it came off of (Detroit Series 60), and even then what you have would be considered a used core. I don't know if that version S60 is even being built today.

Most likely it was created to meet some emissions spec that has probably been superseded 5 times since.
