hello my name is Ryan and i am new to diesels and i would like to know a simple question please, when there is air in the fuel lines and the truck runs and idles fine but when under a load stalls out what dose this mean? 1993 gmc2500 6.5 turbo diesel

thanks, Ryan

Ryan, I don't think a diesel will run very well, if at all, with air in the fuel lines. So I don't think you have air in your lines if it idles and runs fine.

okay what do you think could be the problem? the guy i got it from said he put clear fuel line in it and it did show air, so what do you think could be the problem?

Your lift pump is probably not generating enough pressure and the injection pump is what is sucking fuel from the tank , now it has plastic lines and quick connects at the tank, check those o rings first and go from there, btw your lift pump is circuited through an oil pressure switch on the block, it goes out commonly
