VW skid plate

Any of you guys that have these metal ones wanna sell your factory plastic one? or do any of you know if the ones off gas cars are the same as tdi's junkyards around here are full of the gas cars.

And ya the oil pan is very thin. I put a hole in mine before and I was surprised how thin it was at the bottom for being cast aluminum. Another junk vw design :hehe:
 
Awesome skid plate. Would've been nice to have when we hit a brand new CV axle that was laying in the road, was wrapped in bubble wrap and looked like trash in the road so I straddled it, then took a chunk out of the oil pan. :doh:
 
My plastic one was flapping so no good lol. I would personally save the 3 something up and get one with the FMJ sides. I am pretty happy with it after hitting the big ice chunks in the middle of the road. Everytime its just a thunk and good to go piece of mind.

I have a diesel geek panzer one.
 
Mine arrived this afternoon. I'll get it installed when I change the oil in about 2000 miles.

Damn near a 1/4" thick sheet! Quality pieces too!
