How much work is involved in doing an automatic 4r100 to ZF6 manual? Do I have to change any driveshafts or the transfer case.
 
No idea man. Take it from first hand experience. The ZF6 is NOT fast. You have to row that girl through the gears. The fastest shifting on it is 3rd gear launch, 5th, 6th....
 
Ya bud thanks for the responce. I already got talked out of it from a few other people i know that have them. They all say run away from the 6 spd.
 
I have the ZF6 its slow, but a blast to drive...right up until it locks up. But thats totally unrelated to a decent transmission....

Midwest Trans sells a short throw shifter to shorten up the shifts
I doing this in a couple months and will more then likly do a write up too. Best thing to do is get a junker with everything in it you need. Other wise if you have time it can all be bought in peices.
