The truck is currently stored indoors at Chris Snyders shop (Snyder-Motorsports / Ram boyz) in Iowa. You can arrange test drives directly with him.
I lost a bunch of weight on the rear and I now have a bit of wheel hop at speed in 2wd over average smooth roads. Say, 40mph, rolling into the throttle aggressively the truck moves then seems to unload.
I wanna say shocks. I've tinkered with this. I have the rancho 9000's. Tried them 2 clicks...
I'm finally replacing the nitto 420's. They do have a high tread wear rating and did last a long time. I never really abused them much until the last year when the power levels reached a some what annoying level for 2wd operations.
Who's been testing different tires and how were the results...
One minor issue slight cracks along valve seats. Intake was milled before checking for cracks. Will need to be milled flat. Freeze plugs tapped, plugs can be bought from fastenal.
Side draft parts in pic are not included!
Set up for ZZ fab style plate.
Should work fine in a <800whp truck...
So, I'm at a loss here. Before I start tossing hard parts at the problem, I'd like get some input.
Right at cruise I have this shudder. The truck is just actually on-off-on-off the throttle so quickly that the truck is almost bouncing up and down.
At 65-70-75mph. Mostly at 70mph, converter...
obo.

Never mind the refresh rate. It appears to work as expected. I have like 5 miles on it after I found a USB->serial cable and calibrated it's range.
Cruses at 36-38:1
Idles 95-98:1
Idles in gear at 45:1...
I've read and understood what the technical version of a "shift bind" is, specifically a 2-3 and how stuff needs to release vs engage and what not.
What I'm not sure is, what are the other characteristics? Does the motor load up more? Do the RPM's actually drop? Does power to the wheels drop...

So, I emailed the nitto folks to see what it would take to produce a batch of these in a 305/50R20 and target at least a $350/tire price point to see if it catches on with the street trucks.
any anyone found anything that's new to compete...
