One very simple way to check that hole with the transmission in the truck used to disconnect the fluid line and insert a zip tie we just no wider than the width of the hole and rotate the drive shaft with the rear wheels in the air, tranny in neutral. When the whole comes around zip tie should go in easily. As far as five clutches goes, I personally feel quality is more important than quantity. If one feels they have to have 5, somewhere I posted a link on adjusting the overdrive piston at-ats tranny site.. they tell you the best and probably only way to properly do 5. Just remember all these parts have variations in dimensions and check everything.
