I am looking to buy a 2006 one ton auto truck and was wondering if the HO motor is the one to get or the standard motor is better in some way?

Can you get the big HO i think 325hp moter in a auto or can you only get it in a manual i have been told both ways.

how strong is the np264? how is it comparable to the np271 i heard there the same but not sure have option of buying one for $300.00 all it needs is output shaft bearing. what are the apps. will it bolt to allison 1000 or nv4500,nv5600, or 48re. will be used as sled puller possably.
