01 24v engine. how much is it worth?

my motor is a 24v with 84,000 miles on it. non 53 block, new vp44. just wanting to see what just the motor is worth, compared to the whole truck.

It should bring a quick $2500, if you don't mind sitting on it for a while you should be able to get as much as $3500, you never know how soon someone nearby needs a motor.

thats what i was think more like $3500. a new one from cummins prolly cost at least $8000.

$3500 is not bad if the VP44, electronics, turbo and all the accessorize come with it. Most salvage yard sell the engine without all the goodies!
