01 dodge parking brake trouble

My parking brake pedal goes to the floor with no residence what so ever, I checked the pads and they seem to be adjusted ok!

Drum or Disk? Is the cable under the truck tight?

Disc, yea the cable seems tight!

See if the cable is moving when you press the pedal. If not something is broke!

R u sure the pads r ok? U have to tear it down to check since they r on inside of ur rear disc. More then likely the pads r gone. They also have an adjuster in there and they should fit slightly rubbing once adjusted to the inner disc hub.

This is also pretty common on GM SUVs and half tons.

Your clear that the emergency brake has its one set of pads correct?

When you put the new set of pads on the inside did you tighten up the star wheel properly so the pads just barely touched the discs?
