I have an 02 HO that I just put ddp200 in.
The problem is that now with the comp (hooked up as an ez) turned on, I have a lite surging under lite throttle. Under hard throttle it does fine and idle is very smooth.
What could be the problem? If its timing, why is it doing it?
Thank you all for the help. I'm gonna try it with just the smarty tomorrow and see if it still does it.
 
So with the smarty set on timing and fuel it still does it. Under jard throttle no problem. With smarty on just fuel it does it just a little bit but not bad.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
The vp44 is a reman from scheid. Not the hot rod
 
turn the comp and smarty off and see if it clears up. more than likely timing surge.
 
Yes, with smarty and edge off it doesn't do it.
My question is why is it doing it and is there anyway to get it to stop while the programmers are on it?
 
not that I have found. on TDR I think one guy interrupted the signal with a potentiomenter? on cold days that fixed it but seems like alot of trouble. I just wait til spring to turn mine up high.
