02 specific oil pressure sensor?

I put an 01 engine in a friends 02, and the harness (green plug) isn't even close to fitting the sensor that's on the 01 engine. I've found a bunch of different part numbers from cummins, Dodge dealers and International. But they all say they work for 98.5-02. Which obviously isn't true.. what sensor do I need to make this thing work? And better yet, does anyone have one?
 
I stumped you guys on an oil pressure sensor?......... What if I wanted to fab up twin, or even triple oil pressure sensors. Would that peak anyones interest?

I don't think 02s have oil pressure sensors...its calculated based on temperatures and RPM like the CR.

What does the plug look like that you are trying to plug into the 01 sensor?

Sounds correct, they have an oil pressure switch.
 
well, crap. It's a green plug with a red slide lock on it.. It's the only thing left over down there so we figured it had to be for the sensor..

I didn't think they changed till the CR's :bang

It's probably for the oil pressure switch...those do exist on the 02.

I don't know if it is in the same location as on the 01, but that would make sense.
 
Don't know much about the location or the type of plugs, but the 02's only have a go/no-go switch. It either has pressure or it don't. The 01's actually send the pressure related signal out on the CAN. This is why the edge can read pressure on the 01's and the 02's have it disabled. Don't know if this helps, but there you go. I've always wanted to retro fit the 01 sensor on my 02, but I'm almost certain it would require an ECM change.
 
Well I will see if I can find a picture of an oil pressure switch then. I could swear I tore that block down completely when I sold it. But finding a sensor in my garage will all of the other parts would be damn near impossible...

Here's a pic of the green plug (02 harness).. A friends 01 doesn't have it.

In case this ever gets searched.. Mike had to tell the guys at Cummins NW to get a sensor for a common rail. The correct sensor won't come up when they look through their 98.5-02 book. Ended up being $10 dollars instead of the 175-250 that we seemed to find everywhere we looked.
