Buddy has an 02 2500. He has been having issues with it wanting to start when its any bit cold...like under 40. Says unless its plugged in it doesn't even want to think about starting. My thoughts where that grid heater isn't working when he turns key to warm it. He said he read somewhere that there is something else somewhere that also helps warm to start it. I believe he said it was a fuel heater?? on the lift pump maybe. Any since we put a fass on it its bypassing the lift pump. Anyone have any thoughts??

i want to say that he hooked up volt meter to it and it was getting power...are there other places that heat that could be issue?

Don't think the grids are the problem. Should start great at 40F without the grid heater unless the motor has been built and compression lowered. Had the grids disconnected on my '01 awhile and started fine in cold weather, even in the high teens at almost 5000 feet.

Maybe lift pump is causing too much fuel pressure at startup.

I have a good Grid Heater with relays if your buddy ends up needing them. $55 shipped... Im in Florida so no need for them here.

alright thanks. he was going to test relays and solenoids on firewall last night, haven't heard back from him yet
