1. Try cleaning ground that's out of the main wire harness on the drivers side of the engine block near the oil sensor...on the 01-02 trucks this is often the problem.
2. Run an auxiliary groung wire from your battery to the pcm ground post
wrap main ground wire coming off alternator to the pcm in aluminum foil..worked for me! alternator produces rf frequencies and get into the ground and ground out the pcm...thus locking and unlocking the pcm
Pulled the groud wire from the PCM to the fire wall, cleaned both ends and cleaned where it bolts to the PCM and where it bolts to the fire wall. That took care of the problem. Thanks for the help guys! My dad could not beleave that is all it was.
