I have the following valve covers for sale

All will come with:
4 stainless steel allen cap head mount bolts
4 stainless steel washers
4 black neoprene washers (to protect the finish)

Paypal only..........either as a gift or add 3.5% to cover the transaction fees

$300.00 shipped and insured EACH

So i am just gonna leave this here...

I see a lot of people selling a lot of parts that contribute little to nothing to this forum. Yet i see people like D45's name pop up in a lot of tech threads and he happens to customize certain parts. Why is he getting pointed out yet the other leeches aren't?

If you are going to make batches of them and pimp them on here, yes. The seller is a moderator on another site that has zero tolerance for this. He should have no problem understanding this rule.

When was the last time he sold valve covers? I do remember seeing them, but my point is it's not like hes got these things on here on a regular basis. Not that I've seen anyways... and I frequent the classifieds a lot. Is he a vendor? Is this part of his day job? Is this how he pays his bills? The rule states; " *If you are a vendor, and you are not a Site Sponsor, do not solicit anywhere on the site. That right is reserved for those who sponsor the site. You may have a small link in your signature, but no direct solicitation is allowed." So again I go back to is he a vendor? So I'm wondering if I took the time every once and a while to find some valve covers and hand paint them, I now need to be a site sponosor to sell them here? I could see if he's got a "batch" up every couple weeks or something. Not trying to cause trouble but just trying to understand I guess. Seems like it has more to do with then the fact he's sold a couple batches of valve covers. bif

Anywho I'm done before I get banned for questioning the rules or instigating a fight or something slilly like that. :aiwebs_029:

You can question whatever you like- No ban hammer for asking questions.

If the OP wants to run these a gain, he needs to come off the hip pocket or find another place to pimp his wares- it is that simple. I have plenty of folks here that pay to advertise and their $$ keeps this place running. Without site sponsors this place wouldn't exist. So, unless you want us to make folks pay to be a member, we will need the support to the sponsors. Also notice, we don't ask for donations either. You wanna make a "batch" of custom lugnuts to see if you can make a buck, by all means, go right ahead.... But it isn't CompD's responsibility to make sure you have a free place to pimp your chit. There is already a place for that- it is called craigslist.
 
Fair enough. I got an explanation. I don't entirely agree with it. At least not in this situation, but it's not my site and I'm not a moderator. So no arguing it. I do get that it takes money to keep this site going, please don't think I don't. Anywho, sorry to add to the clutter of the thread!!
