03 down pipe match 04.5??

I see a different part # on some sites for 03 and 04.5-up, is there a difference? If there is a difference can a 04.5 pipe be modded for 03?

the 03-04 DP will not work on the 04.5+ they have a different sized flange. you may be able to grind down the 04.5+ flange but i don't think you would have enough of a lip to get the clamp on.

if you use the 04.5+ exhaust elbow (4" vs. 3.5" for the 03-04), you can use the 04.5+ downpipe

I have an 03-04 4" down pipe for an hx40 if you need it.

I want to run a 5" downpipe and the only one I can find fits 04.5-07

I did this with my 03 engine. You need the corrisponding elbow as said earlier. (04.5 DP needs 04.5 elbow)
