04 DMax help please

First off...sorry for the vague onfo, just giving out what I have to work with. A friend of mine is looking a an 04 3500 D-Max with 130k on the clock. The truck is a bank repo. The guy at the bank told him that the truck has no power and will not rev up. It will barely pull itself. The bank was told that the injectors are bad. I do not know alot about the D-max fuel systems and how they operate so I am looking for a little guidance. I do not know if there is a CEL or if any codes have been pulled. This is the info that was given to me. Sorry if this isn't enough, just trying to help a friend out a little. Thanks in advance for any suggestions or advice.

simple things to check oil for diesel. if found diesel get it to a dealer for a new set of injectors

fuel fitler the dmax is a negative lift system. IE no what so ever lift pump to move fuel from the tank the CP3 if cloged it will limit rpms of the engine
