05 power wagon 5.9 to diesel conversion

I don't know much about cummins my buisiness partner has a 2005 power wagon and he is interested in doin a diesel conversion to cummins powerplant. What year should we be looking for a far a easiest to swap over? any info would be greatly appreciated!

That would be the cheapest and easiest even factoring in making the diesel as "off-road" capable as the Power Wagon.

The main problem you are going to have, besides the wiring, is going to be the winch, it just won't fit with the intercooler in there. I also heard that the aam 9.25 doesn't like the weight of the cummins over it, but did they not use it in the 03's?

I think it would think it would be cheaper and more capable if you just buy a diesel and mod it however you want. Your choice on tires, wheels, suspention, bumpers, ext. Kore, Carli both make fantasticly capable systems for anything from occassional off-road to full on Baja ready. Several companys make aftermarket HD bumpers that are winch ready.
