06 Heating/AC problems

My dad has an 06 1500 (yes i know its not a diesel) and when you tn the heat on to come out on the floor and up by the dash it bloes cold air on the floor. What should i look for or what is the problem.

Common problem.....blend door issues. Requires taking the dash apart and installing updated new pieces.

When my blend door broke, I was able to pull the blower motor out (3 screws, connecter) and pull the broken door out of the housing. Here is what it looked like when I pulled it out.

When mine broke I went up to the hardware store and picked up a piece of aluminum rod..cut it to length needed...put a pretty good bend (shaped like a V) in it and wedged the door shut! I cant stand a squeaky dash!

This was a common problemlem on early '06's and is also a recall item or was in my case.

my blend doors seem to work but my heater never really blows hot air
