06 megacab gvwr

Why is an 06 mega cab daully gvwr lower than an 06 crewcab daully.Searched on here and didnt find anything about it.

That doesn't accurately account for the lower GVWR.
At the very least, you'd think similarly equipped vehicles would have EQUAL weight ratings, instead of the "heavier" vehicle being rated at less GVWR, such as the Mega Cabs are.

It's the only thing I could think of that would be different and could cause it.
 
Because you have more cab with the Mega compared to the CC. Therefore the GVWR will be lower due to the extra weight of the truck, when were are talking about a similar platform.
