08 6.4 fuel filter problems, wont start, help

At work we have a 08 6.4 f550. I work for a trucking company and we all know a lot about diesels. Ok Boss did a second service on the truck, changed 2nd dairy fuel filter cycled the key 4-6 times like it says to still wont start. Cycled the truck 10 more times and nothing, did that lots of times, then a wrench symbol came up on the dash. Dealer wont tell us nothing but bring it in. Did that and they got it started in less then 10min WTF?? Anyone know what they may have done or whats the trick on changing fuel filters on this thing????? :bang

they air lock very easily crack the fuel line at the fuel cooler and turn the key on,and or crank it over. then it should start.
