ok so i am doing some upgrades on my truck finally. the truck in my sig is the one i am working on. my head is off at pro diesel werks getting a 3 angle valve grind , o ringed , port n polish and 110lb springs. i am pretty sure i am gonna go with a set of sdx 240 injectors and i think a 66 turbo not sure. and then in the fall do a cam swap....i feel bad cause i keep bothering the person that is helping me with what i feel are newbie questions. but i have never built a diesel before. so i figure i will put this question out here and give my bud a break... lol ...i was think of changing out the injector lines and tubes to either .084 or .093 stuff. will this mod benifit me or hurt me in any way? i love the loap it gives the motor so thats a bonus to me. i plan on driving this truck aound town , highway , friday night drags and i do use the truck to tow. nothing heavier that 6k including trailer.

Sorry to not help answer your question but...

How do you like the Holley Black pump, especially with the Hot Rod VP44?

What's your fuel pressure run at?

Stock lines and stock tubes. Bigger lines, tubes, or both will only hurt power and driveability.

i really like it. i idle at 22 to 24 psi which i thought was high for the hrvp but II said it was ok. at WOT i cannot suck it below 17psi..

i had .093 lines and tubes in one of my trucks, and with a hrvp it had a real hard lope...sounded cool. but i got tired of it after less than a week and then i sold them and put stock lines and tubes back in.

Keep the stock lines and tubes, bigger lines will make the truck stall when you slow down for a stop light and sometimes it might stall when you put it in gear.

can i do anything to give it a bit of a loap without hurting the performance too much? i love that loap.

I dyno tested .093 tubes back to back with stock tubes with 250 ddp's and saw no difference.

Run the 093 tubes, but keep the stock lines... Trust me, you'll get tired of the surging with 093 lines LOL

I also ran .093 lines and tubes. Many times the engine would just die when I put it in gear. Also the only time it would lope was if I had it in gear with my foot on the brake. In neutral or park it would idle smooth. I have stock lines and tubes now. I love the sound of a good lopey idle. This was a pain though. I have my camaro to give me the big lope I like to hear. Unlike my Dodge. The lope in the camaro is the sound of performance.
