I have a head that someone started porting and polishing. It was not finished. My question would be should I have it finished or would it be ok to use the head as is?

It was fire ringed that is why i dont want to trash it and start over.

If it does need to be finished, is there someone that will even touch it since the job was already started?

Post up some pics of it! Plenty of people would finish it, including me.

Ok I will snap some photos and post them soon.

Is there anyone located closer to Ohio that would be willing to finish the Port and Polish for me?

Who started it? I would probably have someone look at it (assuming you don't know what to look for), you can cause more harm than good if your a moron.

I would measure what the fire rings are cut for and make sure you can get the rings and gasket before you look too far into it. There are several different sizes and shapes of rings out there

I dont know who started it. I am having someone look at it tonight to see what I can do with it. The fire rings were cut by enterprise engine performance, at least that is what I was told. Thanks for the replies. I will keep you all updated.

Well whoever started the porting cut too deep in a couple of spots so I will be scrapping this head and starting over.

Thats a good choice. After looking at it i could'nt belive what was done. Some of it looked ok and there was other places that looked bad. I mean real bad. I will be glad to help when you are ready.

If you want to do the porting work yourself, take that junk head and cut it apart into smaller blocks so you can see how and where everything is.

Too bad you were not closer I'd buy if from you to play with
Some runner changes I've been thinking about. If you were closer
