12 valve head

Cummins OEM 12 valve head from a 97. Head is cut for fire rings, but needs to be re-surfaced. Was running when removed. I only checked it with a straight edge so it might be fine. And the only reason for selling it is because I already bought another head that is ported, polished, and o-ringed.

what size tab did you use to check with straight edge? know the fire ring specs needed?

I thought once you fire ring or o-ring that you couldn't resurface anymore?

We just used a straight edge and a 0.005" feeler gauge. When you resurface it, you would have to recut whatever you took off into the grooves. It might be so little, that you could get away with leaving it alone and running it as it.
